I have been solving problems on the web for a decade. I’ve designed and built websites using front end code, and expanded functionality by writing plugins and contributing to the WordPress codebase.

In the last three years I’ve been focused on user experience practices, usability research, and data, and how together they lead to better websites.

Skills

I am a UX practitioner with experience leading tests, experiments, and analyzing and communicating the raw data afterward. I am most comfortable when working with a team to evaluate goals, identify key user findings, and develop the final product. While launching new features and websites are always great, I’m equally excited optimizing and improving upon existing work.

On the implementation side of things, I have a mastery of front end languages like HTML, CSS, and Javasscript. On the backend I am most comfortable with PHP and building websites on the WordPress platform.

Freelance Web Development 2006 – 2014
I oversaw small and large web projects, primarily for remote clients. Projects often began with design and functionality specifications from clients, a design file, and I took it from there. Referrals available upon request.

Web Designer, Element Fusion 2008
I developed over 100 websites for the company’s proprietary content management system LightCMS. Work involved learning and developing upon the system quickly, offering light design work, and interfacing with clients in a remote environment.
